H.A. “Dave” True, Jr. inducted into Wyoming Business Hall of Fame

H.A. “Dave” True was selected to be in the inaugural class of the Wyoming Business Hall of Fame. He was selected by a statewide selection committee to be part of the first inaugural class of five recipients. Along with Dave True, James Cash Penny, W. Edward Deming, Homer Scott, Sr. and Clarene Law comprised this initial group of inductees. The key criteria for the selections include the following elements:

•    Business excellence
•    Entrepreneurial spirit
•    Courageous thinking and action
•    Inspiring leadership/trusteeship
•    Impact on community/state/region
•    Enduring accomplishments
•    Business ethics/personal ethics

The establishment of the Wyoming Business Hall of Fame is the joint effort of the Wyoming Business Alliance, UW College of Business and the Wyoming Business Council. The original concept came from former College of Business Dean, Brent Hathaway.  Dean Hathaway stated that he wanted a forum in which the positive attributes of Wyoming Business could be celebrated.

The induction was heralded during the Governor’s Business Forum dinner attended by many family members as well as several hundred others. It was a grand event and a marvelous way to recognize Dave True’s lifetime of hard work and dedication.
